The Collector (2009)

A desperate man plans to break into his wealthy employer's house, then learns that another thief has beaten him to it and rigged the place with deadly traps.

"It's a brainless pastiche that attempts to revitalize a genre by out-grossing-out the slasher films of the recent past."

Joe Smith Interview !

32 Bars : Do you consider your self a basketball player first and then a rapper or the other way around ?

Joe Smith : I consider myself an athlete first, only because basketball is putting food on the table right now. But, I have just as much passion for my music that I have for basketball.

32 Bars : Are you currently working on any new projects at he moment ?

Joe Smith : I'm currently working on my second mixtape, as well as my first album. I'm constantly working and writing.

32 Bars :What can we expect from Nova Unit Records in the future ?

Joe Smith : You will start hearing more and more music from Nova Unit Records. I'm in the process of adding new artist and producers (Hip-Hop & R&B) to the team.

32 Bars : Whats something most people don't know about Joe Smith A.K.A Joe Beast ?

Joe Smith : People that don't know me, don't understand how serious I am about my music. I'm not just an athlete trying to rap, I honestly enjoy the art, and respect all artist in the business.

32 Bars : Why do you think people tend to never give athletes a chance when it comes to them stepping into the rap world ?

Joe Smith : Alot of people think athletes just wanna do music for the hell of it but, I wanna change that way of thinking. I got alot to talk about & to say.

32 Bars : If you had to pick one , which of your songs do you like the most ?

Joe Smith : Don't get me wrong with this one, cause I love every song I do and that I've done. But, if I had to choose one, I would say the song I titled "Hip-Hop". Where I'm giving shout-outs to as many Hip-Hop artist (old school to present), that's been an influence on me and my music.

32 Bars : It's been reported that your constantly writing, just how much does Joe beast have in the vault ?

Joe Smith : Yes Sir!!! I write all the time, I have hundreds of instrumentals on my ipod, that I cycle through, and write to the one that grabs me at the moment. As far as how much I have in the vault, I'm holding between 200-300 songs completed. And maybe another 15-20 that's written but not recorded yet.

32 Bars : Any shot outs ? Any big news going on that you want to add ?

Joe Smith : Shout outs to my Nova Unit family, V.A. STAND UP!!! Shouts to 32 Bars and its followers for all the support. Shouts to the whole music industry, listen to me before you judge me. I don't like shouting out individuals cause I hate to miss someone or offend someone close to me.

Fish In A Barrel: Unfair Fights In Hip-Hop

While listening to Lil’ Wayne’s new joint, “Million Dollar Baby,” Weezy spits some verbal darts at radio personality and TV show host, Wendy Williams. There are plenty of rap fans who wouldn’t mind Jay-Z entertaining The Game’s verbal taunts for a “Takeover 2.0,” they also would love to see Method Man and Joe Budden settle who is the better rapper. Hell, most rap fans probably would be entertained by the absurdity that would become of a Soulja Boy vs. New Boyz battle. However, most of the time we get stuck with things like Wayne versus Wendy, a case of a top rapper verbally disrespecting someone who can’t even rap to offer a semi-entertaining rebuttal. This got us thinking about some of our favorite unfair fights in Hip-Hop.

Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy Kick Off America's Most Wanted Tour With A Bang

For the past couple of years, Weezy has had that can-do-no-wrong aura, and while Jeezy and Soulja had the spectators on their feet, when Wayne came out, everyone stood on their chairs — and in some cases, on their armrests — to get the best possible view. From their perches, the fans cheered all night for modern classics such "A Milli" and "Got Money."

Too Short And Bun B Remember UGK's Early Days

Too Short :

"Well, you know what, the one thing that I'll always remember that I got from UGK was I watched them," said Short, sitting next to Bun in the studio. "You know, I always been about keeping it simple in the studio. When you get on that stage, it's gonna be you and some other groups. Get in there, you gotta shine. So, I always say that when I was the OG and they were the youngsters, I'd always say to them, 'Come out, always do a good show.' But every time I'd see them, their show would get better and better. I just used to listen to the song selection and how they could take their fans [on a journey].

Bun B :

People are always telling me I look like Bun B," Bun laughed. "People don't ever say, 'Bun B, what's up?' I went to the store to get some cigars. Girl behind the counter, she was laughing with her homegirl. I was like, 'What y'all laughing about?' She said, 'Nah, [we were] talking about how much you look like Bun B.' I was like, 'Yeah, right, like Bun B would come in here.' She said, 'Yeah, I bet people tell you that.' I said, 'Every day somebody tells me I look like Bun B.

Lil Jon Producer Remix Contest

A husband and wife decided they needed to use "code" to indicate that they wanted to have sex without letting their children in on it. They decided on the word Typewriter.

One day the husband told his five year old daughter, "Go tell your mommy that daddy needs to type a letter".

The child told her mother what her dad said, and her mom responded, "Tell your daddy that he can't type a letter right now cause there is a red ribbon in the typewriter." The child went back to tell her father what mommy said.

A few days later the mom told the daughter, "Tell daddy that he can type that letter now."

The child told her father, returned to her mother and announced, "Daddy said never mind with the typewriter, he already wrote the letter by hand."

Crazy Crez : (interview)

32 Bars : What made you first want to rap ?

Crazy : Well , to be honest i was riding around in my friends cutlass supreme . And we were listening to esham (underground rapper from detroit) and my friend started to freestyle , i was about thirteen years old at the time. I never heard anything like it before , i mean being able to express yourself through music just intrigued me ! and ever since i've wanted to do that !

32 Bars : what did you rap about in your freestyle at that early of an age ?

Crazy : Anything i could think of ! Guns , sex , drugs , violence !

32 Bars : Did you know what you were saying ,and what it meant ?

Crazy : At first i was just trying to rhyme , Then as i got older i started to really take heed and i realized that it was important to know what your rapping about and also how you decide to spit it ! I rap about things in my life and things i've seen !

Crazy Crez : (interview) Pt.2

32 Bars : Where do you see your self in the next couple of years ?

Crazy : Hopefully with my own business ! Maybe my own studio (Record Label) I know you gotta start from the bottom , so im on my way to the top , cause im BOSS , Feel me !

32 Bars : Who were some of your favorite rappers growing up ?

Crazy : Eazy one ! Tupac A.K.A. Makaveli, Ice Cube, Bone, Dayton Family, Three Six Mafia, Jay z, I listen to all types of music but mostly rap !

32 Bars : If you were to die today , would you be happy with the way your life turned out !

Crazy : Absolutely not ! I feel like there's so much in this life that i am still supposed to do yet !

32 Bars : Like what !

Crazy : Well first and for most , Raise my kid ! And I've always felt like i was put on this earth to help others , but you just never know cause nothing is promised !
